Goji Smart Lock Selected as Top 20 Finalist in Walmart’s “Get on the Shelf” Contest; Online Voting in the “Great Gadgets” Category Begins October 15
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 14, 2013 -- San Francisco-based Goji Smart Lock, which gives people unprecedented home-access control using their mobile phone, has been selected as a top-20 finalist in Walmart’s nationwide contest “Get on the Shelf.” Thousands of entrepreneurs entered the contest for the chance to have their invention carried at Walmart.com and potentially on the shelf in America’s top retail store.
Online voting in the “Great Gadgets” category, which includes the Goji Smart Lock and three other products, opens on Walmart.com at http://getontheshelf.walmart.com on Tuesday, October 15, at 12:01 a.m. ET and closes 72 hours later.
The Goji Smart Lock is an electronic deadbolt that lets homeowners access their home using their smart phone and provide day-and-time specific digital keys to family, friends and service professionals via text or email. It is the only lock that has a built in camera in it that sends real-time picture alerts to homeowners so they know exactly who is activating their lock. All activity and photos are recorded in a log that the homeowner can access from the Goji mobile app or their Goji-account web page.
“In the same way that it was only a matter of time before nearly everyone in America got a mobile phone, we believe it’s only a matter of time before every homeowner will want a smart lock to get that secure feeling knowing their doors are locked, knowing what time their teenager comes home and knowing that grandfather doesn’t have to fiddle with keys to open his door,” said Gabriel Bestard, creator of the Goji Smart Lock. “And there is no better way than through Walmart to introduce the benefits of the Goji Smart Lock lock to Americans everywhere. Please vote for Goji Smart Lock to ‘Get on the Shelf.’”
