Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 15, 2013
Mammosafe is a groundbreaking advancement in mobile breast imaging and is coming to Houston in January, 2014. Mammosafe is a breast imaging center on wheels. Daniel R. Roubein, M.D., a board certified diagnostic radiologist, is taking the fight to end breast cancer on the road. He is personally stationed on board the luxurious 39 foot Mammosafe Mobile Coach. Having a radiologist present in a separate room while your mobile screening mammogram is being performed is a service never before offered in the breast imaging community.
The mobile coach helps women manage their breast healthcare by bringing mammography services to work places, office buildings and business complexes in and around the greater Houston metropolitan area and beyond. Mammosafe collaborates with employers who wish to make access to mammograms both convenient and practical for their employees. “The goal is to increase the number of women who receive life-saving mammograms,” says Dr. Roubein. With the radiologist on board, women have the opportunity to receive preliminary results before they leave the mobile unit. Nowhere else does this combination of service and technology exist.
Patients will enjoy a comfortable, safe environment on board the brand new coach which has two private dressing rooms, a restroom facility, and an easy access vehicle lift for patients who use wheelchairs. Mammosafe patients receive 15 minute appointments so their mammograms can be performed by experienced female mammography technologists in a relaxed, efficient, and highly professional setting.
Mammosafe founder, Dr. Roubein, is a renowned diagnostic radiologist and is a member in good standing of several distinguished medical organizations including the American College of Radiology, the Texas Radiological Society and the Harris County Medical Society. He has served the breast imaging community for over two decades and his medical practice is devoted exclusively to breast imaging. He has overseen the breast screenings of thousands of women, often saving lives through the early detection of breast cancer. He recommends that women over 40 have a screening mammogram every year.
