Schertz, Texas Presents Annual ‘Trunk or Treat’ Event
Schertz, Texas (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- The City of Schertz, Texas will host its annual Emergency Services Schertz “Trunk or Treat” event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 in the large pavilion inside Pickrell Park, located at 703 Oak St.
The program provides a safe, enjoyable environment for children as an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. It gets its name because candy is placed in car trunks before being given out.
The event is organized by the Schertz Fire Department, and more than 900 local children are projected to attend for family-friendly fun for all ages. Local law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel, as well as civic organizations and businesses, are welcome to participate. Donations are also accepted.
