Child’s Play Communications, specialists in connecting companies with moms, today formally celebrated its 25th anniversary with an all-out bash at Upstairs at the Kimberly in New York City.

Child's Play Communications celebrated its 25th anniversary on October 15th at Upstairs at The Kimberly in New York City, against the backdrop of the Chrysler Building.

“I had the classic light bulb moment,” said Stephanie Azzarone. “I realized that there were no agencies focusing on the highly influential mom market.”

Child’s Play Communications, specialists in connecting companies with moms, today formally celebrated its 25th anniversary with an all-out bash at Upstairs at the Kimberly in New York City.

Past and present staff, clients, media, bloggers and more turned out for an evening of good food, drinks and an amazing view of Manhattan from the penthouse floor of the Kimberly Hotel.

Child’s Play president Stephanie Azzarone launched the mom-centered company in 1988 when she was pregnant with her son and reading everything she could about how to be a good parent and – more relevant to brands – what to buy. “I had the classic light bulb moment,” said Azzarone. “I realized that there were no agencies focusing on the highly influential mom market.” Soon, Child’s Play was born – the first agency to exclusively target moms. Over the years, the company has evolved from a traditional public relations firm to one that reaches moms through PR, an extensive social media program, online marketing, content development and word-of-mouth communications.
