William L. Weber, Antoinette R. Raheem, and Martin C. Weisman Honored by Michigan ADR Community
BINGHAM FARMS, MI (PRWEB) October 15, 2013 -- With fewer cases going to trial, alternative dispute resolution has become an effective substitute for courtroom litigation – and few attorneys in Michigan are more knowledgeable, experienced, or committed to ADR than William L. Weber, Jr., Antoinette R. Raheem, and Martin C. Weisman, driving forces behind Professional Resolution Experts of Michigan (PREMi).
At its recent annual meeting on September 27, 2013, the State Bar of Michigan’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section bestowed upon Mr. Weber its Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his dedication to the ADR field. At that same event, Ms. Raheem was elected ADR Section Chair for 2013-14, and Mr. Weisman was named Chair-Elect, putting him in line to succeed her for the 2014-15 term. All three are veteran mediators, arbitrators, and facilitators, and Messrs. Weber and Weisman have appeared before the Michigan Legislature to promote more widespread support and adoption of ADR laws.
“I am honored to lead the ADR Section and to be one of several PREMi professionals in key positions,” said Ms. Raheem of Bloomfield Hills. Along with Ms. Raheem and Mr. Weisman, five other PREMi attorneys in leadership roles within the ADR Section, and another six PREMi professionals have served as ADR Section Executive Committee or Council members.
“PREMi’s mission has always been to assemble the most qualified, most proficient, and most recognized names in the ADR field,” explains Mr. Weber, the organization’s Executive Director. “Our continuing presence among the ADR section leadership is a testament to the success of that mission.”
