Retractable Awnings Become Latest Patio Shade Option for Customers of Venetian Builders, Inc., Miami, President Announces
Miami, FL (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- South Florida homeowners can now have shade when they want it for their patios and decks – at the push of a button – from Venetian Builders, Inc., the company president said today.
The Miami installer of patio covers and sunrooms has begun to offer Sunesta motorized retractable patio awnings, Venetian President Chris Noe said.
“Traditionally, the desire for a shaded patio meant a permanent roof or pergola,” Noe said. “We offer aluminum or insulated aluminum roofs, as well as wooden roofs, and aluminum pergolas. Now, with quality retractable canvas awnings, we widen the choices even more with an economical but durable product.”
Venetian designs and installs aluminum sunrooms, patio roofs, patio covers, screen pool enclosures and shade options in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miami, the Keys and all other South Florida communities.
With a retractable awning, a deck or patio stays open to the sun except for the times that the homeowner prefers shade. Once extended, awnings keep the sun off people, to help keep them cool, and off the wall of a home, to reduce heat buildup and the strain on air conditioning units.
“Sunesta awnings can stand alone or be used with a screen room,” Noe said. Pitch can be adjusted, he added.
An awning used with mesh deploys inside the screen structure. One side of the patio usually has a solid wall – where the screen enclosure meets the house. The other three sides and the ceiling, if a solid roof is not included, would be screened.
“The homeowner opens the awning whenever he wants – on an especially hot day when the kids are on the deck or patio, or when a meal is being enjoyed outdoors,” Noe said.
“On exposed decks, Sunesta awnings open from their mounting hood on the house and extend, typically, to the edge of the patio,” Noe added. “A PVC-coated metal framework supports the awning without vertical posts.”
On models with a drop valance, a vertical extension hangs from the frame as far as ground level to block low sun.
During inclement weather, the push of a button retracts the awning into its mounting hood.
Awnings can be made for widths up to 40 feet and extensions up to 14 feet 8 inches.
Venetian provides free estimates on awnings, sun rooms, patio roofs and covers, pergolas and lattice, and pool screens. No-cost at-home consultations include curbside access to the Venetian mobile showroom, so there’s no need for a homeowner to travel away from home to see Venetian products and design options.
