Tampa Theatre unveiled today a new logo and brand identity in conjunction with the Theatre’s 87th birthday.
The rebranding project, which has been months in the making, includes a new logo, and updated advertising assets and marketing materials. The new brand will be showcased today via social and digital channels and on-site at Tampa Theatre.
“Tampa Theatre is a cultural icon in the community. With this rebrand, we wanted to showcase the Theatre’s historical importance, while also creating a brand identity that would welcome returning and new audiences for years to come,” said Jill Witecki, Tampa Theatre Director of Marketing and Community Relations.
Sparxoo, a Tampa-based branding and digital marketing agency, led the Theatre’s rebrand and worked with its leadership team to develop the logo and new brand identity.
“The new Tampa Theatre brand recognizes the great history of Tampa Theatre in the context of tomorrow's theatre,” said David Capece, Sparxoo CEO. “We fused the blade sign and bright welcome spotlights in an urban setting to capture the essence of the Tampa Theatre as a true icon in downtown Tampa. It was an honor and privilege to work with one of the world's most spectacular theatres.”
Following this project, Tampa Theatre has also announced plans to re-launch their current website in an effort to create a more user-friendly online experience. Sparxoo will be leading the project, and the website is expected to launch in late 2013.
