The Abbey at Westminster Plaza Luxury Retirement Community announced a new addition of Independent Living will open for Jan. 2014 in West Houston.

The family-owned community currently offers assisted living and memory enhancement with an additional 144 independent living apartments now under construction. Considered some of the largest in the area, ranging in size from 800-1600 square feet, the spacious apartments are fully-customized featuring granite countertops, full kitchens with stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, wood floors, ceramic tile and crown molding. Amenities include three meals each day, all utilities, cable television, a weekly housekeeping and linen service, transportation, a parking garage, movie theatre, sports lounge, dog park, and more!

A health and wellness building currently under construction will complete the campus with services residents are sure to love, such as an indoor heated swimming pool and spa, a fitness center with a Dinoflex walking track, bistro, hair salon and a large multi-purpose room for entertaining. The Abbey at Westminster Plaza is the only retirement community in the Houston area to offer a HydroWorx therapy pool with underwater treadmill and resistance jet technology.
