Intel Education's Director of Strategy and Marketing, Dr. Eileen Lento, drops by to discuss edtech and covers a range of topics including the upcoming 1:1 Computing Conference in Atlanta Georgia on December 2nd and 3rd, how Intel is approaching global education, and the unique challenges and opportunities revolving around bring your own device (BYOD) programs. Dr. Eileen Lento is Intel Education’s Director of Strategy and Marketing and has been a board member for ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education) for the last four years. Dr. Lento speaks to the challenge of providing all children with the best edtech devices, and goes into detail on Intel's global goals and ambitions for education and technology. She also speaks to Dr. Berger about her role in the upcoming International 1:1 Computing Conference.

The International 1:1 Computing Conference runs December 2nd and 3rd in Atlanta Georgia, is hosted by the One-to-One Institute, among others, and sponsored by Intel Education. Lord Knight of Weymouth will lead the keynote titled 'There’s a Revolution in the Way Children are Learning, but Not in School.' The goal of the 2013 International 1:1 Computing Conference is to provide participants with new knowledge, practical strategies and the opportunity to build a community of practice around using technology to transform classroom instruction and to deeply engage students through communication, collaboration, creation, and personalized learning. Participants will collect best practices that can be applied ‘just in time’ upon returning to their school districts.
