Join Ketchum in Supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Lake Luzerne, NY (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- Breast Cancer Awareness month is upon us, and Ketchum Mfg. Co., Inc. is supporting the cause by releasing pink cattle neck tags donning the pink ribbon for a limited time only. For every tag sold, Ketchum will donate 50 percent of the sales to the Cancer Services Program of Saratoga County.
“Each year, Gary and I participate in the Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Albany,” said Lisa Podwirny, co-owner of Ketchum Mfg. Co., Inc. “Our mother and both of our grandmothers had breast cancer. We felt the tags would be a great way to raise funds for a worthy and personal cause.”
As the leading animal identification tag manufacturer in Upstate New York, Ketchum has been around for more than 85 years. However, this is the first year the company has created tags specifically for breast cancer awareness.
“Our tags are made of nylon and are very durable. They were originally developed as cattle neck tags, and are now widely used as firefighter accountability tags,” said Podwirny. “We feel they could be used as a key fob or luggage tag as well.”
Ketchum will offer the pink breast cancer neck tags now through the month of October. To purchase this special tag, please visit: http://www.ketchummfg.com/c139/Breast-Cancer-Neck-Tag-p572.html.
