4Projects®, a Viewpoint Construction Software® company, announced today from the 2013 Institution of Civil Engineers BIM Conference in London, both the availability of a significantly enhanced 4Projects release and the first release of 4BIM for select customer engagements.

The updated 4Projects release includes a new and more intuitive look and feel that makes the application even easier to use, along with enhancements to workflow and the collaborative forms that facilitate multiple people working on the forms at once. In addition, 4BIM provides key project stakeholders the ability to view, investigate and collaborate around BIM models through an IFC (Industry Foundation Class) viewer and to extract, edit and export COBie data from IFC models. Furthermore, 4BIM only requires a browser; no additional plugins or installable software is needed, making true supply chain BIM collaboration a reality.

“At 4Projects we value our high-level of customer interaction. The major improvements available in the new 4Projects release were heavily influenced by ongoing customer feedback, which enables us to ensure we are enhancing our software to meet the needs of the market and to maintain our role as the leading project collaboration provider to the industry,” stated Steve Spark, 4Projects Vice President of Business Development. “The 4BIM product underscores our continued commitment to deliver new capabilities, and our belief that the use of BIM, throughout the entirety of the construction lifecycle, will revolutionize the delivery of construction projects at a global level.”
