The goal of GPDTools is to extend the value of building product manufacturer data within the design process. Users can access over 850 manufacturer specific BIM libraries within THESource, a database which features search assist and in-application search by Revit category or key word to speed up the product selection process. ProductTAG allows users to pre-filter product category searches in THESource and with one click populate the manufacturers name, model, URL and uniformat classification code into a Revit family. GPDTools are currently free and available for Revit (versions 2012 - 2014) at http://www.productdatasource.com.

GPD Founders Mike Collins and James T.Jackson were early pioneers of a database of manufacturer specific Revit content, published free to the Revit user community, Autodesk purchased BIMWorld in 2008.
