Jonathan Goodman will be one of the presenters at PubCon 2013, an event held in Las Vegas from October 21-24. One of his presentations will be on the topic of negative SEO, which he will present on Thursday, October 24th from 2:30-3:30pm in a session entitled Negative SEO – Hot Topics and Trends Panel. Goodman is the president of Halyard Consulting and professor at The School of Internet Marketing.
In this presentation, Goodman will be discussing a social experiment that results in negative SEO for a company. He details the methods used to set up a website similar to a competitor's site. He provides details about getting backlinks removed, which will reduce the rankings for that competitor. It is a complex process that he goes through step-by-step, but can result in hurting the competition so the company's website can rank better.

Goodman is one of three speakers for this session which will be held in Salon H of the Las Vegas Convention Center. He provides search optimization, website development, content, and public relations for small and medium businesses through Halyard Consulting. He has also written a book entitled The World of Internet Marketing: The Basics to help businesses understand how marketing on the internet works in today's world. He will be part of the Barnes and Noble author signing held on Wednesday as part of PubCon.
