“The name is a dedication to my dad who passed away seven years ago. At some point we had a project of doing that together, so the Felio came from his first name, Felix. I wanted to make it cooler, so I put “Felio” and “Siby” is my last name.”
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 17, 2013
(PSI NORTH-SOUTH PARTNERS, INC)- - International Fashion and Accessories designer, Dominique Siby, took Los Angeles Fashion Week by storm, Friday, October 4, 2013, with his luxury menswear line, FELIO SIBY, at the Driven by Design collective at LA Mart in Downtown Los Angeles. Showing sumptuous outerwear, dress shirts, t-shirts, jeans and his arrestingly appealing duffle bags, The FELIO SIBY collection incorporates a savvy mix of American flair with a nod back to the designer’s homeland of Gabon, Africa. The designer uses exotic skins that include crocodile, python and ostrich, as well as the finest cashmeres, silks, cottons and denims.
Here are the reviews that came in:
“Smooth, chiseled, perfectly cut, and I am just talking about the models that walked the runway adorning themselves in the Felio Siby’s collection. His collection of leather, crocodile, and ostrich skin bags threw us all for a loop and made us want to travel around the world with the men carrying the bags!” (MS.MIX in the Mix-October 8, 2013)
“Dominique Siby is poised to become an international fashion staple ranking amongst Dolce & Gabana, Lanvin, Prada and others in that fashionable category” (Fashion In The 805 Blog-October 8, 2013)
“I love the detail that was shown in every look. From the leathered sleeves to the textured detail on the shirts. Three words that summed up the collection. Detail is Everything!” (Fashionably Informed LA Blog-Oct. 7, 2013)
The FELIO SIBY collection has also been presented in Monaco and his current home, Miami, to critical acclaim.
Dominique Siby, the creative force behind luxury brand FELIO SIBY, is poised to become an international fashion staple ranking amongst Dolce & Gabana, Lanvin, Prada and others of that ilk. The FELIO SIBY collection targets the upscale gentleman who enjoys the finer things in life, being comfortable and not looking like a carbon copy of other men.
On targeting a high-end consumer, Dominque Siby states, “Everything that I like is really good quality. When you want quality, quality has a cost. When it says “Made in America”, which barely exists today, that has a cost. Everything is handmade. That’s why the price is high, but you’re getting something unique from some of the best material in the world. We have t-shirts with python. We have leather shirts. All of that is handmade. Leather is not cheap and it’s not mass produced. It is limited. It is exclusive. It’s not meant for everybody.”
Revealing the inspiration for the name of his clothing line, Siby reveals, “The name is a dedication to my dad who passed away seven years ago. At some point we had a project of doing that together, so the Felio came from his first name, Felix. I wanted to make it cooler, so I put “Felio” and “Siby” is my last name.”
Dominique Siby has definite plans for the future of the FELIO SIBY brand, “I want to build an empire. I want everybody to know my brand. I want to have a store on Rodeo Drive, one of the most expensive avenues in the world. I want my brand to be successful. Successful meaning having stores, not only the online one, but in Miami, New York, Paris, London…that’s what I want.”
