UEM Sunrise Updates Progress of Its Properties in Malaysia

Award winning Malaysian property developer showcases the luxurious smart-homes of Symphony Hills in Cyberjaya and its other properties in the Malaysian Central Region.

UEM Sunrise Berhad, Malaysia’s largest property development company by market capitalisation today provided progress updates of its property portfolios located in the Central Region. The progress updates were presented by the Company’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim following a half day media familiarisation tour, which was organised to showcase and provide firsthand information of the various landed and strata properties in Malaysia developed by UEM Sunrise; featuring top selling launched projects and lifestyle experiential venues – from exclusive smart-homes to award-winning properties.

The tour took members of the media to experience the serenity and tranquility of Symphony Hills, an exclusive residential development and the Country’s first ‘Connected Intelligent Community (“CIC”), offering smart‐home features and community connectivity through high‐speed broadband. Phase 1 of Symphony Hills witnessed the introduction of 416 landed homes divided into four (4) types of residences, themed/named after history’s best music inventors and maestros – Beethoven, Mozart, Schumann and Schubert. Phase 2 of Symphony Hills, comprising two (2) residential towers known as Verdi eco‐dominiums, where 400 out of total 800 units were introduced to the market in May this year. The development has won the Malaysian Reserve Editors Choice Awards 2012 for Best Luxury Residential Development, while its clubhouse received the PAM (“Malaysian Institute of Architects”) Awards in 2012.

To date, three (3) components have been launched – Arcoris Suites, comprising 262 business suites ranging from 700 square feet (“sf”) to 800 sf; Arcoris SoHo, comprising 366 units ranging from 500 sf to 1,000 sf; and Arcoris Residences, comprising 331 units in variety of sizes and layout options ranging from 850 sf studio apartments to generous 2,000 sf 3‐bedroom homes. Arcoris Mont’Kiara was named Best International Commercial High rise Development at the International Residential Property Awards in 2011.

As part of the Company’s strategy to grow new core businesses and to generate new income streams, UEM Sunrise is venturing into other parts of the property value chain, including property investment, hospitality and property & facility management. In 2011, the Company opened a unique retail destination known as Publika within its 17‐acre Solaris Dutamas integrated development.
