Excargo Employee Appreciation Day Honors Staff
Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- Excargo Services, a Houston-based intermodal services provider, celebrated its first annual employee appreciation day on Wednesday, October 9. The event followed the company’s annual driver appreciation week, and spotlighted the employee team that has made the company one of the fastest growing carriers in the Gulf Coast regional area.
“We’re so lucky to have the support of an amazing group of employees who are very dedicated to this company and to their industry,” said Excargo President, Marcia Faschingbauer. “Each member of the Excargo team has brought their experience and enthusiasm for learning to the table in a year marked by some large transitions for our company.”
As part of the employee appreciation day, Excargo celebrated four employee anniversaries. The employees honored were: Jennifer Gongora and Richard Castro, five years; Reyna Orozco, ten years; and Dana Fagler, 15 years.
In the last year, the Excargo team led the transition of all of its operations to a cloud-based IT model, revamped its warehouse and dispatch operations, and improved driver recruiting and retention.
As an early adopter of new technology, Excargo’s move to the cloud allows for increased flexibility and efficiency through the latest IT processes. This move also positions the company to elevate its customer service with seamless integration and real-time visibility.
Meanwhile, the work of the Excargo team in the company’s warehousing operations yielded cost savings for customers and helped them identify the causes of supply chain issues. The experienced team, led by 15-year veteran, Dana Fagler, proactively identifies traffic bottlenecks, monitors hours of service restrictions, and avoids congested routes by providing alternate freight yards and equipment staging protocols.
“We’ve accomplished a lot as a team, but the ability to truly support each other is our most important accomplishment of all, and that’s what we were celebrating with our employee appreciation day,” said Faschingbauer. “Our reputation depends on our ability to help customers make their critical deadlines and communicate the status of their freight, which that starts with internal communication. We’re a team, and everybody on this team plays an integrated role.”
