Columbia Southern University to Present Training for Fire Officers
ORANGE BEACH, ALA. (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- Columbia Southern University (CSU) offers a unique training opportunity for firefighters and fire officers with the “Company Officer Academy” on Oct. 22-23 at the Adult Activity Center in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The two-day workshop, sponsored by Alabama Fire College and Gulf Shores Fire Rescue, features a dynamic program that addresses the many skills and abilities that company officers need to be effective in the firehouse and on the fire ground.
Led by veteran fire chiefs Rick Lasky and John Salka, the Company Officer Academy is designed for current fire officers and those planning to become an officer. The pair will guide attendees through various challenges with concepts and solutions, discuss some of the myths concerning performance evaluations and discipline and analyze the daily firehouse routine.
