UXP Systems and iControl Networks Partner to Blend Connected Home and Next Generation Television
TORONTO, ON and ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) October 18, 2013 -- UXP Systems, provider of the leading multiservice and personalization gateway for next generation television, and iControl Networks, a leader in connected home technology and innovation, today announced the integration of UXP Systems’ MINT Software Suite with iControl’s award-winning connected home platform. The integrated solution will be offered to iControl’s network of broadband service providers through the iControl OpenHome Partner Program.
“With our integration with iControl, operators who deploy our MINT Platform will be able to seamlessly blend home control functions into video and converged experiences across set tops, tablets, and smartphones,” said Arif Hirani, vice president of business development. “Operators will be able to further differentiate their multiscreen experiences by creating a more converged, multiservice experience.”
The partnership coincides with the recent launch of UXP Systems’ MINT 3.5 Software Suite, which has enhanced User Lifecycle Management capabilities, and promises to help establish a direct relationship between providers and consumers.
As part of the partnership, UXP Systems and iControl will integrate the iControl Converge™ and iControl Touchstone™ deployment solutions with the MINT Multiservice Gateway. This will allow providers to easily integrate broadband home management features, powered by iControl, to MINT’s suite of services, and offer consumers a personalized home and entertainment experience. The service will allow users to:
• Monitor and manage their homes
• Customize their home entertainment preferences
• Integrate social media with their home entertainment
• Access multiscreen voice and viewing capabilities from multiple devices including tablets and smartphones.
“We’re proud to add UXP System’s MINT platform to our portfolio of integrated partner solutions for our network of cable service providers across North America,” said Jason Domangue, iControl’s Vice President of Ecosystem Development. “Through iControl platforms, UXP Systems’ MINT software will allow providers to offer next generation video and blended service features with greater reach and flexibility.”
The joint iControl and UXP Systems solution will be demonstrated at the SCTE Cable-Tec show in UXP Systems’ booth #138 taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, October 22-25/2013.
