McLaren Software adds BIM support, remote project support, and selectable project templates to the leading SaaS construction project collaboration solution.

This first phase of BIM support is a natural progression for FusionLive for construction collaboration and also for CAFM Explorer for facilities management.

McLaren Software, leaders in engineering document control, construction project collaboration and computer aided facilities management solutions announce the latest version of McLaren FusionLive. Available immediately to all existing and new customers this release is arguably the most significant release in recent years.

BIM Support – This release represents the first stage support for Building Information Modeling (BIM) by providing users with the ability to open, view, navigate, select / deselect components and attribute information held in 3D IFC format models. McLaren CAFM Explorer users will also be able to access these models in future releases supporting the building lifecycle from construction to facilities management.

Flexible Project Templates – User administrators are now able to clone existing, create new or select and activate pre-configured workspace templates from an expanding library of solutions.

Remote Project Support - McLaren OnAir Remote – is an optional hosted global Content Delivery Network (CDN) designed to support access for remote projects significantly increasing the speed of browsing, searching and document transfers.
