Due to the complexity of its operations, Mercury Marine needed a tier-one WMS with robust out-of-the-box functionality and configurability.
Paramus, NJ (PRWEB) October 22, 2013
4SIGHT Supply Chain Group, a leading supply chain consulting and systems implementation firm, announced today that it has successfully led a Warehouse Management System (WMS) evaluation and selection for Mercury Marine, a leading manufacturer of recreational marine engines and parts.
Mercury Marine asked 4SIGHT to analyze its current distribution operations, provide recommendations for a short list of vendors, and to guide the detailed evaluation process. 4SIGHT leveraged its rigorous 9-Step WMS Evaluation Selection Methodology to assist Mercury Marine throughout the process. With the system selection complete, Mercury Marine has retained 4SIGHT’s services to provide solution design and implementation support.
“The 4SIGHT team analyzed our distribution and kitting operations, defined our requirements, created a customized Request for Proposal, scripted the vendor demonstrations, and provided functional and technical expertise,” says Dean Witkowski, Mercury Marine Director of Distribution.
“We recognize the importance of software selection projects which is why we have developed a customized methodology tailored to address the unique operations and technical requirements of our clients. Mercury Marine’s new WMS will be the foundation of its supply chain execution strategy going forward,” says Frank Camean, President and CEO of 4SIGHT. “Due to the complexity of its operations, Mercury Marine needed a tier-one WMS with robust out-of-the-box functionality and configurability. We are pleased to contribute to such an important project for a world-class client,” says Camean.
