The purchasers and clients of Rubin & Licatesi, P.C. were faced with an enormous potential loss when the sellers in a real estate transaction refused to return their $185,000 contract deposit. They consulted Rubin & Licatesi, P.C. and the Long Island law firm brought a lawsuit on their behalf to compel the sellers’ lawyers to return the down payment. On September 23, 2013, the court found on behalf of the clients and against the sellers, ordering the return of the down payment forthwith.
