London Engineering/Design Graduate Creates a Flatpack Children's Chair Out of a Single Piece of Foam
London (PRWEB UK) 22 October 2013 -- Always having an unconventional approach for design and technology, Roman Bentley has recently been inspired by mainly Scandinavian designers, thus joining the list of creatives involved in this ‘flat pack’ furniture craze that has been happening for many years.
“I have friends and family with small children. They inspired me to create a solution as they were always looking for space-saving affordable furniture. What more can be said, it's a chair, but the thought, the materials used, the design, construction and the practicality makes it unique; just try it out for yourself,” Roman Bentley
What makes the Aepe chair series so special is the story that comes with it. The chairs come in a range of different colours symbolising a different ‘Ape’ or ‘Aepe’ character with respect. Each character has a role in the story that sits well with all children; they can choose their favourite and follow their story online.
The Aepe chair is an engaging experience for children; it begins with the educational aspect of learning how net shapes can create wonderful designs all the way to reading stories to expand their imaginations.
