NFI, a leading supply chain company headquartered in Cherry Hill, N.J., is pleased to announce that Ike Brown, Vice Chairman and President, is presenting sustainability best practices in the supply chain industry at this year’s Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) Annual Global Conference.
In addition to NFI’s intermodal services, Brown oversaw the recent deployment of a 17-truck natural gas fleet in Texas with home improvement retailer, Lowe’s. Brown will share successes and lessons learned from implementing and integrating the natural gas fleet.
“NFI is a leader in natural gas and supply chain sustainability, and we are proud of our eco-friendly and green initiatives,” said Brown. “We have a great opportunity at CSCMP’s Annual Global Conference to share our insight and experience when it comes to using natural gas.”
NFI is committed to continuous improvement through environmental stewardship. It not only exceeds many industry best practices for sustainability, NFI frequently defines them. Some of the many sustainability innovations that NFI has spearheaded include fuel burn reduction, MPG optimization, energy conservation across warehousing and transportation assets, recycling and biodegradable materials usage, and solar power.
The 2013 CSCMP Annual Global Conference takes place October 20-23, in Denver, Colo. and brings together industry executives and subject matter experts to learn about leading supply chain strategies, share best practices, and network with colleagues.
