Augeo Launches Fan-i-Am App with Duke University Athletics
St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) October 17, 2013 -- Augeo releases an innovative fan engagement mobile and website platform connecting collegiate fans. Fan-i-Am supports collegiate athletic departments as they focus on reaching and engaging their fans in new, unique and valuable ways utilizing social media. Over 1,000 Duke enthusiasts have already registered since the launch at Duke’s football home opener on August 31, 2013.
The Fan-i-Am app creates unique fan experiences by allowing fans to connect with their teams, share photos, connect socially, earn points and win prizes. The app applies to all sports; fans that join can participate and compete in interactive activities to win sideline tickets, Duke fan merchandise, signed memorabilia and other exclusive prizes.
“We developed Fan-i-Am to be a mobile first fan engagement platform. We felt by focusing on the advancements in mobile technology, it would allow fans to connect with ease and engage with other fans everywhere,” commented Mike Knoop, VP of Strategic Relationships at Augeo. “Through the Duke Fan-i-Am application, Blue Devil fans can engage in a variety of real time activities including the connection of Facebook and Twitter accounts and uploading photos to display in the stadium during games. Fans will also be able to "check-in" around various campus and merchant locations in Durham, North Carolina. All activities through the app have point values, allowing fans to earn access to unique and valuable prizes and rewards.”
“By delivering a more dynamic and accessible app, we are helping Duke fans across the country to connect with each other, compete for free prizes and engage with their Duke teams,” commented David Kristal, CEO of Augeo. “We are thrilled to launch with the loyal Duke fan base and the school's outstanding tradition of athletic excellence.”
Duke is one of the many collegiate athletic departments scheduled to launch the Fan-i-Am app this fall.
