Canvas Selected to Join World’s Most Promising Startups at Web Summit in Dublin
Reston, VA (PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- Canvas, the global leader in mobile apps for businesses, today announced that it has been selected to participate in the Web Summit STARTglobal program – which includes 150 of the highest potential and most disruptive young companies that will gather to exchange ideas, demonstrate new products and technologies, and interact with leading press, investors and technology visionaries.
The STARTglobal program is part of Web Summit, taking place October 30-31 in Dublin, Ireland. The Summit is a global gathering of the world's leading thinkers and doers in technology. This year over 10,000 attendees will make the trip from all corners of the globe to hear from over 300 speakers across dozens of stages, workshops and roundtables catered to every sector.
“Canvas is honored to join the world’s most promising and disruptive young companies at STARTglobal, and to participate in a program that in the past has featured successful startups such as Dropbox, box, airbnb, Waze, LinkedIn, Square, Twitter and Vine,” said James Quigley, co-founder and chief executive officer, Canvas. “Thousands of organizations leverage Canvas’ disruptive mobile app platform to transform how they do business; we have now saved customers more than 10 million sheets of paper and surpassed 10,000 apps in our mobile business app store.”
Canvas’ mobile app platform enables organizations of all sizes – ranging from Fortune 100 firms and nonprofit organizations to one-person businesses – to replace cumbersome paper forms with highly customizable mobile business apps that work on nearly every smartphone and tablet on the market. The firm’s Application Store now has more than 10,000 ready-made apps that can be customized to an individual business user's needs, and Canvas also offers a do-it-yourself app builder toolkit enabling non-technical users to build mobile apps in minutes.
As part of its promotional efforts at Web Summit, Canvas is launching the WS100 program. Organizations can apply for the program and the first 100 that are selected will receive a free six-month trial of Canvas for themselves and up to 10 users.
