Infotool Hosts Dimensional Insight Users Conference for Nordic BI Customers
Burlington, Mass. and Stockholm (PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- Dimensional Insight, a developer of business intelligence (BI) solutions, and Infotool, Dimensional Insight’s Nordic distributor, together announced that Infotool held a users conference from Sept. 18-19 in Stockholm. The two-day conference included educational sessions on The Diver Solution business intelligence (BI) platform, as well as three customer presentations.
The educational sessions included presentations on new, powerful features added to the latest release of The Diver Solution (Diver), best practices data governance techniques and Infotool’s financial planning software application built using Diver technology. The conference also included a presentation from Dimensional Insight’s co-founders, Fred Powers and Stan Zanarotti, who gave their perspective on industry trends and provided their vision of where Dimensional Insight is headed in the future.

SEB: This leading corporate and investment bank in the Nordic countries serves large corporations, financial institutions, banks and commercial real estate clients. It provides its customers, which are primarily sub-custody bank customers around the globe, with reports primarily on transactions and fund value that are powered by The Diver Solution. In this session, SEB shared how it has created a solution that combines Diver with products from Infotool to automatically build Excel reports that are distributed to customers. The application has dramatically decreased the number of errors in transaction reporting.
Smurfit Kappa: This paper mill, based in Pitea, Sweden, has made its Diver BI system available to all 500 employees. Now in Diver, everyone within the organization can view progress on KPIs, such as outcomes vs. goals, customer and employee satisfaction, and other measures that previously only a small number of managers could access. In this presentation, Smurfit Kappa described the project from start to finish and discussed how increased transparency provided by Diver has increased understanding and commitment within the company.
Lund University: Sweden’s Lund University has consistently placed within the top 100 universities in the world. Through innovative steps, it has used The Diver Solution to enable school administrators, instructors and students to easily and flexibly obtain information about admissions applications and student performance through a Web portal. The system has made it easier for Lund administrators and instructors to access student performance information quickly to evaluate whether they are meeting goals and to apply for academic grants and subsidies.
