In April 2013, Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport Hotel announced a partnership with Clean the World Foundation, Inc., an Orlando based not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to collect and recycle soap and bottled amenities discarded by the hospitality industry every day. Through the distribution of these and other hygiene products to impoverished people, Clean the World aims to prevent the millions of deaths caused by hygiene-related illness every day. Since April, Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport has collected over 1,700 pounds of soap and diverted over 3,000 pounds of waste from local landfills. As a result of the daily collections by the housekeeping team, 9,000 bars of new soap have been distributed to children and families in need throughout 65 countries worldwide.

As part of National Housekeeping Appreciation Week in September, the housekeeping department at Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport attended a half-day educational session at the Clean the World headquarters to learn how their daily efforts are making an impact across the world. At the facility, the team viewed a brief video explaining the mission of Clean the World and assisted in the sorting of soaps and shampoos into bins that would then be sterilized and reformed into useable product.
