Chapman Associates announced the sale of IT Solution Standout i-Works to ITsavvy

Chapman Associates has announced the sale of Warren, N.J.-based infrastructureWORKS (i-Works) to ITsavvy, one of the fastest growing providers of integrated IT products and solutions in the U.S. i-Works is an IT services and consulting company, specializing in solutions in many areas of IT, including storage, virtualization, networking, business intelligence and disaster recovery.

“From our perspective, the acquisition will accelerate growth and give our clients access to a larger set of resources—an expanded product portfolio and a broader service bench. It will also extend our geographic reach for our clients with a national presence.” said Jeff Greenberg, i-Works’ managing director.

“The acquisition of i-Works will expand our technical depth in big data, storage, backup, virtualization and networking,” added Mike Theriault, ITsavvy’s President and CEO. “It will enhance our expertise in product lines that we already sell, such as Cisco, EMC, Riverbed and VMware and in new product lines that our clients are demanding, including Greenplum, Extreme Networks, and Infoblox.”

Chapman Associates represented i-Works in this transaction. Cristian Anastasiu, who specializes in the technology vertical and worked with i-Works, commented: “This is a perfect example of what drives the ongoing consolidation in the IT services space: the need to offer clients end to end solutions, to scale service offerings and maximize synergies for increased profitability.”

Chapman Associates is one of the most respected middle market mergers and acquisitions firms in the country, with focus on select industries, including IT. In addition to domestic transactions, Chapman has recently represented IT clients in cross-border deals in Europe, Asia and South America.
