Kids at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Celebrate the Season with Spirit of Children Fall Festival
Loma Linda, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2013 -- Pediatric patients at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital kicked off the season on Thursday, Oct. 17, by taking part in the 2013 Spirit of Children Fall Festival.
The event, sponsored by the Spirit stores, allowed the young patients at the hospital to get their pick of costumes, work on arts and crafts, and meet the famous special guest, Olivia the Pig.
“We look forward to this event all year because it’s so heartwarming to see the kids come out and enjoy, even for a few moments, what the rest of the kids outside the hospital are enjoying,” said Jose Velazquez, Inland Empire district manager of Spirit stores.
Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Administrator Zareh Sarrafian thanked the Spirit team for bringing fun to the hospital and helping the young patients celebrate the season.
Spirit conducts point-of-sale promotions at stores to collect donations for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. The Spirit of Children program has raised more than $123,000 for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital to date.
