Golden Empire Mortgage, Inc., one of the largest mortgage lenders in the western U.S., has joined forces with the Boot Campaign and the Military Warriors Support Foundation, non-profit organizations supporting returning American military troops, and Sales Mastery, a provider of sales training for mortgage and real estate professionals, to sponsor a “mortgage free” home for a combat-wounded military veteran. The gift was made possible through $30,000 in donations from Golden Empire Mortgage employees to the Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Homes 4 Wounded Heroes program.

Golden Empire Mortgage executives will join over 1500 mortgage professionals at the Palm Springs JW Marriot on October 23rd for a special ceremony to honor America’s armed services by donating mortgage-free homes to ten wounded veterans and their families. Golden Empire Mortgage has acquired one of these homes with a $30,000 contribution to the Military Warriors Support Foundation through a special partnership with the Boot Campaign.

Golden Empire Mortgage’s participation in the Heroes to Homeowners campaign – developed by The Duncan Group and mortgage technology pioneer Mortgage Coach – illustrates the company’s belief that the mortgage industry has an ethical responsibility to help America return to a place of vibrant economic health.

“All of us at Golden Empire Mortgage feel deeply indebted to our enlisted men and women who have made enormous sacrifices to protect the freedoms we hold dear,” said Rick Roper, president of Golden Empire Mortgage, who has a son currently serving as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force. “Being able to help a real-life hero achieve the dream of homeownership is an honor. In fact, all military veterans deserve a shot at homeownership. We encourage the mortgage industry to join us in helping to keep the American dream alive for our veterans.”

As a featured event at the 20th Anniversary Sales Mastery conference, the Heroes to Homeowners ceremony will gather veterans, mortgage professionals and the CEOs of the participating lenders. Also on hand will be war hero (Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars) and best-selling author of “Outlaw Platoon,” Sean Parnell.

Ceremony Time: 8:30 PM PST
Ceremony Location: Expo Hall -- JW Marriot Hotel, Palm Springs

Interview Opportunities: Representatives from Golden Empire Mortgage are available in advance of Sales Mastery as well as in person at the event to discuss the Heroes to Homeowners campaign as well as Golden Empire Mortgage’s commitment to helping all Americans achieve responsible home ownership.
