Trevose, PA (PRWEB) October 18, 2013
The CEI Group, Inc has donated $2,200 to support Katie’s Krusaders’ 10th annual golf outing, which expects to raise more than $10,000 next week for families who stay at Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
The donation makes CEI a Platinum Sponsor of the event and pays entry fees for three foursomes, who will be among the nearly 100 golfers to participate in the outing at the Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, PA. The event will be held Monday, October 21.
Katie’s Krusaders was founded by CEI employee Paul Duffin and his wife, Terry, in honor of their daughter, Katie, who died of cancer in 2003 just shy of her fifth birthday. Since then, the organization – which was a principal sponsor behind the 2008 creation of the facility at St. Christoper’s -- has raised some $1 million to support the families of children with life-threatening illnesses. The facility provides guest rooms, meals and kinds of support to enable parents to stay with their children while they undergo treatment. Katie’s Krusaders also provides additional emergency financial support to those families who have been hard hit by medical bills.
People interested in participating in the golf outing or donating to Katie’s Krusaders are asked to visit the charity’s website at http://www.katieskrusaders.com.
