Nonprofit Supports Combat-wounded, Their Families, and Families of the Fallen

Hope For The Warriors® is an organization making a positive difference for our Veterans and their families on a daily basis. Their community-based approach and leadership are why it is such a privilege for me to join their Advisory Council.

Hope For The Warriors® is pleased to announce Colonel David A. Sutherland, USA (Ret.), co-founder and Chairman of the Center for Military and Veterans Community Services (Dixon Center), as the latest addition to their Advisory Council. Sutherland served his country for 29 years and has been a longtime supporter of Hope For The Warriors®. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.

"Hope For The Warriors® is an organization making a positive difference for our Veterans and their families on a daily basis,” Sutherland said. “Their community-based approach and leadership are why it is such a privilege for me to join their Advisory Council. I've been a huge fan of the work of Hope For The Warriors® for years."

Sutherland culminated his 29 years of service following Brigade Command, as the Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff with principle focus on Warrior and Family Support. By visiting hundreds of communities and assisting thousands of organizations, he created a nationwide network of support utilizing grassroots solutions for veterans and their families.

“Colonel Sutherland has given himself tremendously to our country and now to our veterans,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® president said. “It is an honor to have him as part of our Advisory Council.”

The mission of Hope For The Warriors® (http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org) is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.

Hope For The Warriors® has earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator (http://www.charitynavigator.org) for two consecutive years. Charity Navigator is an independent organization that evaluates fiscal responsibility and accountability of nonprofits.
