Coleman Chevrolet of New Boston, Texas Sponsors Red River Shootout Cutting Horse Competition
New Boston, Texas (PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- Coleman Chevrolet, located at 510 Addison Street in New Boston, Texas, recently sponsored the Red River Shootout Cutting Horse Competition held in Texarkana, Arkansas at the Four States Fairgrounds. The competition, held from September 27 to September 29, 2013, attracted over 300 competitors as well as a large number of spectators from all over the Texarkana area. The event highlights each cutting horse rider’s skill level and promotes their event theme: “Where amateurs and non-pros can battle it out!” Prizes were awarded to the winners of each category at the end of the competition.
Events such as the Red River Shootout have been held since 1898 when the first cutting horse competition was held in Haskell, Texas. Cutting is an equestrian event in the western riding style where a horse and rider are judged on their ability to separate a single animal away from a cattle herd and keep it away for a short period of time. Coleman Chevrolet is proud to call the Texarkana area home and feels that sponsoring local events like the Red River Shootout Cutting Horse Competition allows them to show their commitment to the New Boston and Texarkana communities. The sponsorship also helps Coleman Chevrolet show their interest in the true culture and history of the Texarkana area and those that live there. The Red River Shootout is just one of many events held at the Four States Fairgrounds that Coleman Chevrolet is proud to sponsor.
