ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 - Mahala, a secure mobile payments system for merchants, content owners and nonprofits, will present at Apps World Europe Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 in London.
With Mahala, no card readers are needed. Consumers just scan Mahala’s secure QR codes with their phones – online or in person – to complete transactions. The S-QR™ enables payments anywhere, including websites, videos and Facebook – without forcing consumers to go to another site to pay.
Apps World Europe hosts 250-plus exhibitors and 8,000-plus attendees, including mobile marketers, mobile operators, device manufacturers, platform owners and industry professionals. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, EA founder Trip Hawkins and Lastminute.com co-founder Brent Hoberman are keynoting the event.
“If you’re looking for innovation in mobile applications, Apps World is the place to be,” said Mahala CEO Sonny Fisher. “We’re beyond excited to be a part of this forward-thinking group.”
Fisher will speak on a panel on how mobile point of sale is transforming the customer experience. He will focus on how secure QR payments can improve the way content owners such as musicians sell and reach new customers.
In addition, Mahala COO Eliad Saporta will speak on a panel, focusing on how QR payments can instantly monetize advertising.
Mahala is working with a number of beta partners, including Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White. In addition to powering the football player’s charity fundraiser, Mahala also enables fans to scan S-QRs in his videos and donate without being sent to another site.
“When donations, or payments, become frictionless like this, the likelihood of making more money from advertising is increased,” said Saporta, who heads up the company’s technology development. “We call this Adver-buying™, and believe it’s the future of advertising because it yields immediate transactions and measurable returns on investment.”
At the event, Mahala will host a charity “roulette” fundraiser, which will show how S-QRs can be changed dynamically to reflect different amounts and recipients, as well as how they can enable virtually frictionless donations. Some charities involved will be the Roddy White Keep the Faith Foundation and SERV International, which feeds millions of malnourished people around the world and rescues orphans in Kenya.
Mahala will also host the Appster Awards at the event and give out the award for the Best Consumer App of the Year.
Mahala Wallet for consumers and Mahala Merchant are available for iPhone and Android users. Mahala is accepting beta merchant partners. To learn more, go to http://www.mahala.us.
