Ramo, real name Omar Keita, is a rapper born in Congo, Africa but raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. His family fled Africa to provide a better life for their son and escape a devastating Ebola virus epidemic. By the age of 10 years old Ramo found inspiration from famous Rap artists such as Biggie Smalls and Lil Cease; feeding a desire to pursue music. After meeting his idol Notorious B.I.G, who advised him to practice and master his craft, Ramo knew his purpose in life was to take his rapping to a higher level. Finding himself behind bars at the age of 14 due to an altercation, Ramo was forced to take 4 years off from his rap career only to regain focus at the age of 18.
Best known for his freestyle "Introduction", Ramo has attracted the attention and collaborated with the likes of DJ Envy, DJ Big Mike, DJ Woogie, DJ Noodles, DJ Spanky, DJ Mano Com, DJ Scope, DJ Khaled, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Bedtyme 357 and DJ Young Cee finding himself on many mixtapes.
