Los Gatos, California (PRWEB) October 20, 2013
Amour d’Art, the premier fine art gallery featuring world-renowned artists in Los Gatos, Calif., is continuing its series of “Meet the Artist” events. The gallery is excited to be featuring Goli Mahallati, whose work is known for bold areas of color and texture that capture various aspects of humanity. She will be appearing in person at 216 N. Santa Cruz Ave. in Los Gatos this Friday October 25th from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Saturday, Oct. 26th, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
Goli will be available to meet collectors and sign and dedicate any of her original acrylics, and to take consignment orders.
“We’re so honored to welcome Goli to the gallery,” says Owner/Curator Carrie Scott. “Her paintings inspire the viewer to ponder the elemental state of the human condition, sometimes bound together in support and love, and at other times isolated, either alone or in a crowd.”
Goli’s original acrylics and limited edition prints on canvas and board often depict aspects of humanity. Her images of individuals alone and in communal groups are stirring. Most significantly, her paintings mediate the tensions that are symptomatic of contemporary art. With a warm and luminescent color palette, the mysterious forms lead to a unified sense of energies that is often lacking in post-modernism. Her paintings are less about thinking, and more about intriguing energies from which they have arisen.
Before moving to Southern California, where she now resides, Goli Mahallati graduated with a Bachelor’s from the University of Tehran in 1977 and a Masters from the American International College in Massachusetts in 1979, and spent several years studying for her PhD at the University of Massachusetts.
