ABQAURP Renews Agreement with the National Board of Medical Examiners to Oversee Testing Methodology
(PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- With certified members numbering nearly ten thousand, ABQAURP’s goal is to improve the quality of our nation's health care. Through its relationship with the NBME, ABQAURP, a non-profit organization, continues to deliver the highest quality educational components possible to support its certification activities in 2014 and beyond.
Arthur Broder, MD, CHCQM, Chairman of ABQAURP’s Board of Directors noted, "ABQAURP has led the field with a certification examination for health care professionals in patient safety, medical management, risk management, and quality-based knowledge. We are pleased to continue our work with the NBME, whose assessment programs follow a sound developmental model and incorporate the latest statistical and technological developments."
Nick Paslidis, MD, PhD, MHCM, CHCQM, Medical Director, Molina Healthcare and Vice Chair, ABQAURP Board of Directors stated, "The ABQAURP certification examination in Health Care Quality and Management (HCQM) is systematically reviewed by NBME's consultative, research, and analytic services. New questions are tested (but not scored) for over a year to identify and resolve potential methodological problems before formal inclusion in the examination. This reflects ABQAURP's dedication to establishing HCQM as a specialty with definable standards upheld by knowledgeable experts."
"Physicians and other health care professionals throughout the world are eligible to sit for ABQAURP's professional certification examination," noted Joel V. Brill, MD, AGAF, CHCQM, Board Member ABQAURP. "With the global focus on value-based health care and quality management, we encourage health care professionals worldwide to earn the Certified in Health Care Quality Management (CHCQM) credential and be recognized for their commitment to care."
