By offering benefits to not only its staff, but also to the company's talent roster, New York City's MVB Entertainment, LLC is now the first in its industry to take such a step. This means that all eligible talent, including musicians on their independent record label MVB Records, will have the option to enroll in retirement accounts, and health insurance.

Abdel 'Sosa' Russell, CEO of MVB Entertainment, LLC, says his company is at a stage where he wants everyone that is a part of it, to feel valued, and also for them to be interested in a long term career building experience.

In order for MVB Entertainment to make the benefits available for its freelance employees (talent), Abdel 'Sosa' Russell had to create a new business model for his company, and the industry for that matter.

With this new business model, MVB Entertainment is now capable of compensating its musicians and other 1099 employees, as hourly (W2) employees as well.

Abdel 'Sosa' Russell said that the ever changing world of the talent/entertainment business, especially in the digital age, forced him to re-asses how MVB Entertainment, its team, and the talent they manage, find value in their overall business relationship.

He also said that his company is at a stage where finding the right people, talent and staff, who are interested in the entertainment industry as a career, is vital for MVB Entertainment to take its next step in a bigger playing field.
