The spooky, creepy, fantastic and bizarre are all brought together in this intricate and fascinating collection of horror and science-fiction film trivia.

Which films end with the villain dying after being struck by lightning? What horror movie did Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre inspire? How many horror films end with the monster alive and well? Did you know famed dancer and actress Cyd Charisse once appeared in a horror film, or that Mark Harmon’s mother was once a horror-film princess?

Spook Secrets: How Much Do you Really Know About Classic Sci-Fi/Horror? arrives just in time for Halloween. It’s an e-book that will both delight and inform fans of the genre, from the devoted experts to those with just a casual interest. This e-book features over 1000 photographs and 300 multiple-choice trivia questions.

Graphic movie posters, quotable catchphrases and terrifying images of werewolves, witches, vampires and zombies are all found in this bright (and dark!) e-book. Spook is unburdened by prose and certainly does not need to be read in chronological order. Readers are free to wander throughout the hidden passageways of this very diverse genre which, through thousands of movies, has developed its own rich sub-culture of facts and mythology. The e-book format also allows readers to showcase the great visuals that are the hallmark of these films. Fetching scream queens and all of the key personalities who have impacted the genre are well-represented in the e-book.

Readers can use this e-book to test their knowledge of these movies, or even just enjoy the photographs and learn a great deal of fun trivia about a genre where both the best and worst films can be unforgettable. With Spook Secrets, the crypt has now been reopened.

About the authors: Mike Lederman is the co-author of “Monster Madness.” A childhood fascination with dinosaurs and outer space led him to start reading the pop-culture bible of the genre, “Famous Monsters of Filmland,” which introduced him to the movies. Zach Zito is also the co-author of “Monster Madness.” He currently works as an image archivist. Christopher Mealie has authored a book of vintage pin-up and glamour photographs and has written film descriptions for the exploitation film distributor Something Weird Video. The Everett Collection, which supplied most of the images for the e-book, is a New York based entertainment image archive that works with publishers to support their content needs. The Everett Collection has recently published “Forever Chic: 10 Timeless Trends That Can Work For You,” written with Beryl Meyer, another e-book focusing on 100 years of fashion.

Spook Secrets: How Much Do You Really Know About Classic Sci-Fi/Horror? by Zach Zito, Mike Lederman and Christopher Mealie, published by The Everett Collection and Vook (RRP $2.99), will be available this October at Amazon.com and all major online book retailers.
