OTW Safety and the Matterhorn Challenge for the Haven Raises $265,000
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- OTW Safety and its key investor, Kevin Bespolka, teamed together this summer to raise money for the Haven, a breast cancer treatment center in Hampshire UK.
Hampshire is an area that has one of the highest breast cancer incidences in the UK. There is currently very little support and help available for people affected by the disease. The Haven intends to open a new center in Hampshire where people can access its unique program of emotional and physical support to help them through the darkest time of their lives.
The Haven will provide services to 500 new breast cancer patients a year in Hampshire with the support, information and skills to maximize self-management of their illness, rebuild their well-being, and transform their quality of life. They will also give victims families support and advice.
A group of 6 men including OTW Safety owner Kevin Bespolka, with a combined age of 300, and no previous mountaineering experience, climbed the Matterhorn this summer. By taking on this incredible challenge they raised $265,000 to help open the new Haven cancer treatment center in Hampshire. "Your amazing generosity helped to keep me going, especially during the trickier times such as climbing by head torch in the dark at 4:30 in the morning" said Kevin Bespolka.
OTW Safety is a Salt Lake City, Utah based manufacture of safety devices. OTW Safety will continue to help fight the on going battle against breast cancer. Kevin Bespolka is an investment banker with Napier Park Global.
