KegVision Launches on Kickstarter to Fund Beer Keg Sensor for Smartphones with Life is Crap Support
Severance, CO (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- KegVision has introduced to KickstarterTM the first commercialized kegerator accessory that monitors how much beer is in ones home kegerator and sends that to a smartphone with the app loaded. The campaign is 56% funded as of this writing. Check out the campaign here.
"Everyone with a kegerator or keg cooler in their home needs to know how much beer is left inside that large aluminum barrel of beer," remarks founder Dan Gotko. "We've taken that idea to a whole new level of convenience and technology."
The new KegVision system has an app that displays how much beer is left in the keg, the temperature of the beer, and a CO2 pressure level indicator.
Other features include a 'reservation' button to call the local liquor store to reserve a new keg and a party planner to tell if there is enough beer for the next get-together. It also supports up to 3 kegs for craft beer aficionados.
The KegVision system utilizes a home WiFi router to wirelessly send every ounce of beer poured, and other pertinent beer information, to a cloud server. That information is then pushed to a smartphone within seconds. "What is so exciting," says Dan Gotko, "is that the latest in wireless technology allows us to provide such easy to use and highly enhanced features at a reasonable price point for people. Its like a gas gauge for your keg. You wouldn't drive a car without a gas gauge, would you? And beer is more important."
Dan has begun a campaign, which can be seen at kickstarter.com and http://www.kegvision.com to raise funding to help commercialize the KegVision product.
Life is Crap is proud to team up with KegVision, because they know how important it is not to run out of beer. Life is Crap encourages beer aficionados everywhere to check out this nifty device and share with your friends. And remember, "Life is Crap, when you’re out of beer – but in the end, laughter is the cure."
