Derbyshire (PRWEB UK) 25 October 2013
Hilton Garage, Derby’s original car supermarket, has substantiated its declaration that every car it sells is price-checked against the current market to guarantee the best possible deals. Trading Standards was called in by a rival local car supermarket to check its assertion was valid, but Hilton Garage supplied enough evidence of its continued and comprehensive price comparison searches on its entire stock to verify their claim.
Hilton Garage was alleged to be misleading customers under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008. However, the car supermarket was able to supply documentary evidence to Trading Standards in order to support their claim, which immediately closed the enquiry as they were “satisfied” that “reasonable checks” were being made.
Ian Burrows, Operations Manager of Hilton Garage, is “delighted” by the outcome of the investigation, saying: “We pride our service on offering the best-value deals on used cars in the Midlands, which involves us constantly checking prices on all second hand cars sold locally. This ensures that our customers are guaranteed rock-bottom prices when they step onto our forecourt.
"It is just part of our continuing commitment to passing the savings we make onto our customers and maintaining our reputation as Derby’s original car supermarket.”
