Microsoft Dynamics GP Integrated With CMMS EAM TabWare Solution at NuGen Energy
Greenville, SC (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- AssetPoint, a leading provider of (CMMS) Computerized Maintenance Management Software and (EAM) Enterprise Asset Management solutions, announced ethanol producer NuGen Energy, LLC has implemented TabWare CMMS/EAM software solution for maintenance management and successfully integrated it with their Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly Microsoft Great Plains) system.
NuGen Energy, LLC operates a 110 million gallon per year ethanol plant in Marion, South Dakota. Its mission: to anticipate, meet, or exceed patrons’ expectations while providing local profitability. The company, founded in 2005, was formerly known as US Bio Marion, LLC and currently operates as a subsidiary of REX American Resources Corporation. The facility has a design capacity of 100 million gallons of ethanol and 320,000 tons of dried distiller grains per year.
NuGen decided, in order to become more efficient, to integrate their maintenance management solution with their financial solution, Microsoft Dynamics GP. As they researched their options, it quickly became apparent that the time, complexity, and cost to integrate their current maintenance management solution, Maximo would be overwhelming. After extensive research, NuGen selected TabWare CMMS solution as the best option for a robust and easy-to-use maintenance management solution and an easy, seamless integration to their Dynamics GP solution.
AssetPoint worked with the NuGen implementation team in identifying the integration points that would address their business requirements. The integrations were implemented using the TabWare CrossRoads solution, and NuGen is now provided real-time updates between TabWare CMMS solution and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
James Axelson, IT Manager for NuGen Energy, said, “Compared to Maximo, TabWare is robust, easier to use, and more reliable. Integrating our CMMS solution with our existing Microsoft Dynamics GP financial system was extremely important to us, and TabWare provided the easiest and most cost effective integration to our existing Dynamics GP solution. We’re now able to enter Work Order, Inventory and Purchasing data just once and it automatically updates both TabWare and GP. This saves time and reduces the chances of keystroke errors.”
Axelson continued, “The TabWare user interface is the best we saw, causing a higher acceptance by the maintenance group which means we got up and running even faster. In our industry, capturing bearing temperature readings is very important. Other CMMS solutions couldn’t record these, but with TabWare, it’s extremely simple. We also love the fact that training was offered remotely via the internet. It was the fastest and easiest way to get our staff up and running.”
