New Independent Website Cuts Through the Clutter of Disney Vacation Planning
Oakville, ON (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- A new independent website has launched with a focus on Disney destinations information. 1923MainStreet.com is Canada’s newest source for advice, tips, news and recommendations for your Disney vacation.
“There is no shortage of Disney information available online, but there was a void when it came to a comprehensive source of information for Canadians travelling to Disney destinations,” said Mike Belobradic, Founder and CEO of 1923 Main Street. “I wanted to cut through the clutter with information and recommendations that will help any Disney vacationer to make sense of the sometimes overwhelming number of options they encounter when trying to make good choices for their family.”
The purpose of the site is to provide information that is tailored to Canadian travelers (such as options for travel routes and the best times to go), along with specific recommendations, tips and advice to help the do-it-yourself travel planners to narrow down their options. “Guidebooks are great resources,” said Mr. Belobradic, “but sometimes people just want to know ‘tell me where should I eat and where I should stay’ at Walt Disney World.” He added, “People want a source close to home that they can trust to provide expert advice from personal experience.”
Mike's Disney travel experience began in 1966 with the family’s first trip to Disneyland in California. Once Walt Disney World opened in Florida in 1971, his family immediately became regular visitors--often for several weeks at a time. Since then, Mike has spent nearly 90 weeks onsite at Walt Disney World Resort hotels and has visited the Walt Disney World Parks over 500 times. “I have spent a lot of time at Walt Disney World Resort since it first opened,” admits Mike. “I have seen it grow, evolve and change over the course of 40-plus years so I know quite a bit about Walt Disney World.” A big part of what Mike brings to 1923MainStreet.com comes from his long history as a Canadian visiting Disney destinations. “If you are looking for where to find Tim Horton’s coffee in Walt Disney World, I can tell you that,” he said. His knowledge and experience includes a broad range of Disney travel destinations, including Disneyland Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort among others.
Much of the inspiration for the site came from Mike's clients during his time as Travel Advisor specializing in Disney vacations. “It didn’t take long to realize that for first-time visitors in particular, planning a Disney vacation can be very intimidating,” said Mike. “The fact that there is so much Disney travel information available online actually made it more confusing to my clients, not easier.”
The Canadian content on 1923MainStreet.com goes beyond travel advice. “Most Canadians don’t realize that Walt Disney himself had roots firmly planted in Canadian soil,” adds Mike. “So I made sure to provide that unique bit of Canadiana on 1923MainStreet.com as well.”
Highlights of the new site include a custom-designed “Resort Selector” to help guests choose which Disney World hotel may be best for them; a “Walt Disney World Primer” that focuses on the five most important decisions that you must make when booking a Disney World vacation; and “Recommended Dining” lists that focus on several restaurants to steer you towards a more enjoyable onsite experience and cut through the huge number of choices available to you at Disney destinations.
There are tip sheets and travel-planning templates that can be downloaded for free and a free monthly newsletter as well. In addition, the Town Square Forum is a new and growing community of Canadians where you can ask questions and share advice with others who enjoy travelling to Disney destinations. Mike also hosts a blog on everything relating to Disney travel and is author of the ebook “The Very Best of Walt Disney World Resort.”
