Empower Network Brings 2,000 Conference Attendees and $2.6 Million to Orlando
Orlando, Fla. (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Software and web marketing company Empower Network will bring 2,000 attendees and a projected $2.64 million in economic spending to Orlando when the company and its affiliates come to central Florida Oct. 25-27.
The Orlando regional conference, to be held at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld at 6677 Sea Harbor Dr., marks the last of Empower Network’s four regional fourth-quarter conferences.
“We wish a warm welcome to the Empower Network Regional Conference,” said Visit Orlando CEO and President George Aguel. “Orlando provides unique opportunities to network during and after the conference to strengthen business relationships at our many first-class attractions, dining options and entertainment venues.”
During the conference, Empower Network will demonstrate and train affiliates on Blog Beast, its new blogging platform which was released to affiliate members on Oct. 11; make a monetary donation to its national homelessness organization partner, 100,000 Homes; recognize top direct sales affiliates who collectively earned more than $12 million in quarterly commissions and bonuses; and provide training for its affiliates.
“We’re glad to be back in our headquartered state to wrap up the last of the fourth-quarter conferences,” said Empower Network President David Sharpe. “It’s been a great month of giving back, training and leadership. We even launched our new blogging platform this month and we are ready to end our conference tour with a bang.”
The tech company invested more than $3.2 million on Blog Beast, which it predicts will rival WordPress, TypePad and Tumblr, among other popular blogging systems.
Choosing a homelessness charity to donate to is a personal decision of Empower Network’s co-founders, David Wood and David Sharpe, who were both homeless at different points in their lives. After living real-life rags-to-riches American dream stories, they now run a $60 million company, and the issue of homelessness still hits close to home. The $2,500 donation to 100,000 Homes will help find permanent housing for 100,000 vulnerable and chronically homeless individuals and families. Empower Network announced a national partnership with 100,000 Homes earlier this year.
At its first three fourth-quarter regional conferences in Anaheim, Calif.; Dallas; and Washington, D.C., Empower Network donated to each city’s 100,000 Homes local partner: OC Community Services, CitySquare and Community Partnership, respectively.
At its third-quarter 2013 conference in Denver, Empower Network and its 6,000 attending affiliates donated $10,000 to local homelessness charity, Denver’s Road Home. In Chicago, at its second-quarter 2013 conference, the company and its 4,200 attending affiliates donated $33,000 to the American Red Cross to support the Boston Marathon bombing victims. At the company’s first-quarter conference in Austin, Texas, the company and its 3,200 attending affiliates donated $66,000 to Austin Habitat for Humanity.
Empower Network offers six unique business and marketing software products and tools, including its signature blogging system, video hosting, training and coaching packages for start-up, home-based, small and medium businesses. Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., David Wood and David Sharpe founded Empower Network in 2011 to empower small-business owners to make money online without dealing with the technical, marketing, payroll and overhead challenges that frustrate many entrepreneurs and small-business owners. Empower Network’s signature product is a viral blogging system geared toward helping its 38,000 affiliates and 80,000 members use the Internet to grow their businesses online, taking them from disenfranchisement to full self-empowerment through the use of blogs, direct sales and online marketing.
