Founded in 1891, the Canadian Education Association (CEA) is a network of educators advancing ideas for greater student and teacher engagement in public education through conducting research and spreading useful ideas in it's publications, website, workshops, symposia, and social media channels. The Canadian Education Association supports education systems to be more adaptive to the rapidly changing needs of all learners in an effort to reverse the trends of students ‘tuning out’ of their learning opportunities. Mr. Canuel goes into detail on the International 1:1 Computing Conference and its’ role in providing educators and community leaders with the most up-to-date resources for successful 1:1 launches.
The goal of the 2013 International 1:1 Computing Conference is to provide participants with new knowledge, practical strategies, and the opportunity to build a community of practice around using technology to transform classroom instruction and to deeply engage students through communication, collaboration, creation, and personalized learning. The conference is hosted by the Canadian Education Association, the One-to-One Institute, and the Lausanne Learning Institute, and sponsored by Intel Education, DyKnow, and SMART. Lord Knight of Weymouth will lead the keynote titled 'There’s a Revolution in the Way Children are Learning, but Not in School.'
"Ron's experience with 1:1 education is impressive," said Dr. Berger. He continued, "Ron's long history with 1:1 education is clear from his implementation insights."
