Amsterdam, NY (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Saint Jude Retreats is excited to announce that Susanne Herrmann, Business Development Director has attended their first meeting, as members of the NYC EAPA Chapter. The NYC Chapter serves Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. The meeting was held today, October 22, 2013 at Mount Sinai Hospital at 1425 Madison Ave & 98th St., in the Goldwurn Auditorium from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
Susanne Herrmann, will be introduced as a new member of the chapter during the segment of the meeting that was dedicated to the introduction of members and non-members. She will also have the opportunity to let other professionals know about any upcoming news at Saint Jude Retreats as well as attend an educational training.
Herrmann is excited to meet new members of the NYC EAPA Chapter. She comments, “Chapter meetings are a great way to make professional contacts, network, discover new resources, and develop new skills. I am excited to establish a new network of contacts that are most likely unaware of the valuable resources we have at Saint Jude Retreats, which can help individuals struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction. I welcome the opportunity to educate more people on what we do and why we are so incredibly different from conventional treatment centers.”
The Saint Jude Retreats hopes to continue to branch out and make more contacts in the NYC area, especially because of the Saint Jude New York City Program which is specially designed for the busy working professional. The Saint New York City program offers private, 2 to 2 ½ hour classes which allow the individual to make appointments according to their busy schedules. The program is not counseling or therapy, but rather a self-change, non-medical, educational program.
The Saint Jude Retreats Program helps substance users overcome alcohol and drugs through a revolutionary process called Cognitive Behavioral Education. At Saint Jude’s a substance user will be taught self-empowerment tools to help them let go of negatives aspects in the past allowing them to have greater successes in the future without on-going substance use.
