Barcan Woodward has been recognised as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Firm of the Year at the 2013 Bristol Law Society’s annual awards. The award is presented to the firm who has shown commitment to supporting their local community and projects.

In the past 12 months we have provided pro bono advice to the Bedminster Town Team on their Business Improvement District (BID) proposal. We have also established Barcan Woodward Community Law where we provide help, guidance and support to members of the public who are managing their own basic legal affairs themselves.

In addition, Barcan Woodward employees have taken part in a range of activities, including half marathons and walking barefooted across hot coals, to raise funds for two Bristol charities.

Chris Miller, Managing Partner, said of the award:

“This is a particularly important award for us as it recognises the work we do within the Bristol community. Our CSR programme is an integral part of our company culture and we take an enormous amount of pride in being able to use our expertise in support of our local community.

Winning this award is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and it is great to see our efforts recognised in this way. We are absolutely thrilled to be the recipient of this award.”
