Scheidt & Bachmann Participates in Largest Graduating Class of Certified Administrator of Public Parking Program
Burlington, MA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- The http://www.parking.org/professional-development/certified-administrator-of-public-parking-(capp).aspx [Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) __title__ CAPP Homepage] program is not only going to hold the largest graduating class in the history of the program next year, but Scheidt & Bachmann is proud to represent a significant number of graduates from the course. Next year, a record of approximately 50 parking and transportation professionals will participate in the 20th anniversary graduation ceremony compared to the original 1994 graduating CAPP class of only 13 professionals. Three of Scheidt & Bachmann’s employees passed the CAPP Exam in September. The graduating Scheidt & Bachmann members from the CAPP Program are as follows:
• Kevin Austin, CAPP
• Hector Miranda, CAPP
• Jeff Sparrow, CAPP
CAPP Certification Administrator Lauri Chudoba says “I am so excited for Kevin, Hector and Jeff and so proud of their accomplishment through the Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) Program. It is a very rigorous course through IPI and the University of Virginia and the only university-sanctioned course in the industry. I'm especially excited that they're a part of the largest CAPP graduating class in the program's history.”
The Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) program is developed by the International Parking Institute (IPI) and administered in partnership with the University of Virginia. The CAPP Program is designed to provide continuous education and training to parking and transportation professionals through a series of required courses. Members are selected on an application review basis and can complete the program in two years. A final cumulative exam is required at the end of the course in order to pass the program and receive certification. Upon passing the exam, participants earn the CAPP designation and then maintain a three-year certification before renewal.
The goal of the CAPP Program is to provide a means by which parking and transportation professionals may demonstrate their proficiency and be recognized by their peers as a benchmark of excellence for the industry. “Taking the CAPP course(s) was an extraordinary experience,” comments Kevin Austin, CAPP graduate and Western Sales Manager at Scheidt & Bachmann. “Besides being a great learning perspective on the parking industry, the networking opportunities and industry contacts established from the course have proven invaluable.” Jeff Sparrow, another CAPP graduate and also Vice President of Sales, agrees that “CAPP was not only a great experience allowing me to enhance my industry knowledge but also a way for me to make new friendships with other parking industry professionals who I might not have had the chance to meet out in the field.”
Scheidt & Bachmann invests extensively on continued education for its staff in honor of the company belief that “a company is only as strong as the people who work there”. In adherence to the company policy that employees are the most important asset to the company, the company encourages development of talents and skills with continued education that further designate employees as specialists in their field.
