New York, NY (PRWEB) October 24, 2013
Great news for Enchanted Thyme readers! The much-loved book series just inked a huge deal on October 10 to go mobile with South Korean firm BluePin during the recent 2013 MIPCOM Summit in Cannes, France.
MIPCOM is the biggest TV, digital, film and publishing convention in the world, featuring the hottest new content and most relevant trends in technology.
The initial meeting between the companies was facilitated by KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) at the ACE Fair in Gwangju, Korea, several days before the contract signing in France.
Fans need not wait much longer, as the Enchanted Thyme adventures soon will be available on mobile apps on the Kids World portal. Kids World sells more than 3,000 animation, education and storybook apps to its 500 million customers. They are all accessible through the Apple App, Samsung App and Google Play stores.
Ariane Smith, founder/CEO and creator of the Enchanted Thyme series, has agreed to license its children’s edutainment concepts to BluePin, the operator of the leading kids apps platform Kids World. BluePin is known worldwide for offering far more than just eBooks. Its services include more than 100 whimsical and enjoyable interactive effects that let children see, listen, touch and experience the content.
Enchanted Thyme readers will see more exciting times ahead as Belinda Phair and her brother Peter visit the mystical land of Enchanted Thyme. Bookworms can experience the fun-filled adventures of the Phair siblings and watch the three pixie-mice Marjoram, Basil and Rosemary come alive as Blue Pin whisks them off on an exciting journey to Enchanted Thyme.
The Enchanted Thyme series encourages a love of literacy as it entertains and inspires its readers, mostly 5- to 12-year-old children, to uphold healthy attitudes toward food and the world around them. New York-based Enchanted Thyme has offered many high-profile live interactive events and an animated television series. Children love the adventure- and fun-filled stories that are knitted with healthy and easy-to-make recipes concocted by well-loved celebrity chefs.
“We believe that kids learn more when they laugh,” says Ariane Smith. “They eat healthier when it’s fun. And they treat each other and the world around them better when they understand how exciting that can be.”
Smith is excited about the new deal with BluePin, as it will bring Enchanted Thyme’s mission of entertaining, engaging and inspiring children another notch higher. Thanks to the wonders of technology.
David Drake, CEO of The Soho Loft and chief strategy officer for Enchanted Thyme, says this is the biggest deal Ariane Smith’s been pursuing the past year.
Book 2 of the Enchanted Thyme series is set to come out at the end of this year. A sneak peek of the book is available online for a very limited time at http://www.enchantedthyme.com/Book2/.

Our mission is simple; to entertain, engage and inspire children. To that end, a few things are particularly close to our hearts:
Promoting healthy attitudes toward food through the use of fun stories and adventures interwoven with delicious, healthy and easy-to-do recipes created by professional chefs.
Encouraging literacy through storytelling that uses "big" words in the proper context. We do this in our high-profile live events, our published books and even in our upcoming animated television series.
We believe that kids learn more when they laugh. They eat healthier when it's fun. And they treat each other and the world around them better when they understand how exciting that can be.
